"Making Life Better for Dogs and Their People"
Furst is a two year old, blind Rottie. He is being fostered and obedience trained at K9 Coach Learning Center for Hooves & Paws Rescue, which is located in Glenwood, Iowa. He's been at K9 for for nearly six (6) months and continues to grow stronger both inside and out. His blindness rarely prevents him from doing much of anything and once he acclimates himself to his surrounds, it's difficult to even tell he can't see.
He has been in rescue for over a year, due to his blindness and some behavioral issues. He bonds quickly with his caretaker and is a big lovable guy that will work his way into your heart very quickly. However, Furst requires a dedicated person that is experienced with his breed and someone who has no other dogs. His blindness prevents him from being able to read the body language of other dogs and because of this, he can become overly defensive. He is good with people of all ages as well as cats.
While he has become like a family member at K9 Coach, he so deserves to find a permanent home where he can settle in and be loved.
If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting Furst or if you have any questions, please contact K9 Coach or Hooves and Paws Rescue on the link below.

Norman is a Pom/Yorkie mix senior dog that is looking to find a nice retirement home. He is 13 years old and had lived with his previous family all his life. They had another dog that decided he didn't like Norman, so for his safety, they asked me to either foster him or find him a new place to live out his life, so he is currently in foster care with a great family. Norman is a great little guy, with a very likable personality and requires very little other than your company. He really doesn't act his age most of the time and just enjoys being around anyone that will give him attention. His is epileptic and requires an inexpensive daily medication. Please contact me if you are interested in giving Norman a nice place to retire.
Grandson Tommie and Furst are great buddies!
~WE ARE ALL LOOKING FOR "FOREVER" HOMES~

Skippy was found near a small community approximately 20 miles from York, NE around Christmas time of last year. He was very shy and the family that found him ended up having to use a "live trap" baited with food to catch him due to the fact that he was so frightened. His fur was packed full with ice balls and it appeared he had been on his own for quite some time. From there, he ended up at a local shelter.
Skippy was fostered for awhile, but ended up back at the shelter in March . He was not doing well in the shelter environment and a concerned volunteer felt if he had better surroundings, he would eventually come around and be more adoptable. So, Skippy now lives at K9 Coach! He is shy and nervous around people, but warms up once you gain his trust.
He appears to be a purebred Cocker Spaniel and is estimated to be 5 years old. He is scheduled to have some work done on his teeth and also to be neutered.
I am confident that Skippy will make someone a wonderful pet once he gets past some of these issues. He will require a very patient and understanding companion who is willing to take things slow, yet be committed to keeping him properly socilized. My goal is to find him a loving home where he can finally relax and just enjoy being the dog he was meant to be!
Please click on the red "Re-Homing Form" tab located at the top of this page and fill out the form if you are interested in giving Skippy a chance to relax and enjoy life.
